Yate & District Heritage Centre is a fully accredited museum created in 1995, relocated in 2000 to former 1840s stables behind the White Lion Pub next to St Mary's Church in Yate. It houses a collection of over 3,000 objects including local artefacts, photographs, maps and oral history recordings, and provides regularly changing exhibitions and events.
