Salford Museum and Art Gallery is a free museum with several exhibition galleries, some permanent and some changing regularly. In 1849, Salford City Council sanctioned the use of Lark Hill Mansion as an educational site. The museum features a recreated Victorian Street, Lark Hill Place.
