The experience
About this day out
Lowther Castle & Gardens is a visitor attraction in the English Lake District, built at the turn of the 19th century on the site of two previous houses. The castle was demolished in 1957, leaving dramatic ruins and gardens that were lost to wilderness for over half a century. Today it features gardens within gardens, an exhibition, and the Lost Castle adventure playground.
