The experience
About this day out
Little Hall Lavenham is one of the oldest buildings in the best preserved of the Suffolk wool towns, a 14th century house built for the Causton family of clothiers whose subsequent development mirrored the changing fortunes of Lavenham. It was restored by the Gayer-Anderson brothers who filled the house with art and artefacts collected during their travels. The much loved museum, now owned by Historic Suffolk, includes a tranquil walled garden with a knot garden planned along Tudor lines.
