St John's Gardens, located behind St George's Hall in Liverpool, contains six statues or groups of notable men connected with Liverpool and the King's Liverpool Regiment monument, which includes one of the city's best-known statues. The gardens' centrepiece is the King's Liverpool Regiment Monument, a large Portland stone construction with a bronze statue of Britannia and flanking soldiers. Other statues include the Gladstone Monument by Thomas Brock and works by Albert Bruce-Joy, F. W. Pomeroy, and George Frampton.
