Hospital in England
The experience
About this day out
Eastbridge Hospital in the heart of Canterbury has been welcoming pilgrims for more than 800 years, since the first pilgrims came here in 1190. It is now home to Indwellers and its carefully preserved historic buildings are used by local groups for theatrical and musical productions. The adjacent Franciscan Gardens, home to the first Franciscan settlement in England established in 1224, offer a haven of peace and were replanted in 2020.
