The experience
About this day out
Ballindalloch Castle is one of the finest surviving examples of a Scottish Baronial Castle, family home since the sixteenth century. Explore five hundred years of Highland history, acres of formal gardens, woodlands and riverside walks, the children's playground, picnic area, courtyard café and gift shop. The formal grounds were principally laid down in the second half of the 19th century, following extensive restorations to the Castle made around 1850. The castle and gardens sit at the heart of a multi-faceted Highland estate, with up to around 35 people employed during the summer season.
